NACE LA ASOCIACIÓN CANARIA DE FOOTGOLF

Registrada como asociación en la Dirección General de Administración Pública, el pasado mes de febrero, la Asociación Deportiva nace para hacer las veces de “Federación” en el archipiélago, entrando a formar parte del Consejo Nacional de Footgolf. Su sede estará en Adeje y ya se trabaja para formar La Liga Canaria y traer el “The Capital Cup” y que llevará el nombre de “The Canarian, the Capital Cup”. Carlos Romero, Manuel Pais y Zeben Díaz son los miembros de su Junta Directiva.

El deporte que está causando furor en el mundo del fútbol, el Footgolf, ya tiene representación “federativa” en el archipiélago canario, tras formarse la junta directiva de la Asociación Deportiva, inscrita en el registro de Administración Pública del Gobierno de Canarias, con el afán de organizar este deporte en el archipiélago y crear ligas, además de promover torneos internacionales que ya se están disputando, incluyendo ex jugadores de fútbol de primer nivel, que son asiduos en estos campeonatos.

Durante el año 2016, el campo de golf de La Caleta de Adeje, acogió diferentes encuentros y torneos, con una participación importante, dado que este deporte ya cuenta con un Consejo Nacional, donde las diferentes asociaciones de las comunidades autónomas forman parte de él, al igual que Canarias desde este mes de marzo, dado que se ha creado la junta directiva que se encargará de la organización de diferentes torneos, teniendo esta la exclusividad para poder organizarlos. También se están celebrando pruebas de carácter internacional, como el “The Capital Cup”, valedera para puntuar con 100 puntos (FIFG 100) para el World Cup Tour, donde participan los mejores del Mundo. Canarias Footgolf ya está trabajando para traer esta prueba internacional a Tenerife, bajo el nombre de “The Canarian, the Capital Cup”. El sistema de puntuación es similar a los grandes torneos de Tenis.

Carlos Romero (Presidente), Manuel Pais (Secretario) y Zeben Díaz (Vicepresidente), ya forman parte como nuevos miembros de la Junta Directiva de la Asociación Deportiva Canarias Footgolf, manteniendo la puerta abierta para futuros miembros que se quieran incorporar y aportar ideas y trabajo para un deporte que está creciendo a gran velocidad en todo el planeta. La sede está en el municipio de Adeje y se está trabajando para crear la Liga Autonómica, que se disputará en el Campo Los Lagos, del Golf Costa Adeje, aunque la Asociación ya negocia con otras instalaciones para incorporar nuevos campos, que tendrían que adaptarse, sin interferir al golf.

Desde diferentes asociaciones europeas ya se han puesto en contacto con “Canarias Footgolf”, para venir a jugar al archipiélago, puesto que se trata de un lugar idóneo para la práctica de este deporte, debido a las condiciones meteorológicas, destacando a la Federación Holandesa, que es la más potente en Europa y que cuenta con jugadores de la talla de Roy Maackay, entre otros.
