La Liga Canarias Footgolf continúa en línea ascendente y cada vez más son las personas que se interesan en este deporte. El pasado sábado, dentro de una nueva jornada en el campo de Golf Los Lagos, perteneciente a Golf Costa Adeje, donde habitualmente se desarrollan los encuentros que organiza la Asociación Canarias Footgolf, se celebró un encuentro para recordar, debido al gran nivel de los participantes, en el que dejaron su sello, incluyendo un nuevo récord del campo en esta modalidad.

Una de las novedades en este inicio de temporada ha sido el capitán de la UD Las Zocas, Cherre Bello. El jugador zoquero ha irrumpido con fuerza en este deporte y consiguió batir el récord del campo con una tarjeta de 67 golpes, lo que viene a significar un 5 bajo par (-5), estableciendo así la nueva marca. Cherre Bello ha jugado más de 500 partidos en tercera división, aunque esto no significa nada, ya que es importante el toque de balón, pero más la concentración en los metros finales de los hoyos. Será un duro rival para Maikel Álvarez, que poseía, antes del re-diseño del campo, el mejor resultado con -7 y una tarjeta envidiable de 65 golpes.

Carlos Romero sigue una línea regular obteniendo  -3 , -2  y -1 bajo el par del campo respectivamente. Romero, nieto del que fuera uno de los entrenadores con más minutos en el banquillo del Club Deportivo Tenerife, Olimpio Romero y a su vez, es el presidente de la asociación y uno de los “culpables” de la #FiebreFootgolf.

Zeben Díaz y Joao Dunker consiguen el mayor progreso entre los participantes, logrando mejorar en 8 golpes y 10 golpes respectivamente su anterior resultado. Esto hace presagiar que se van sintiendo cómodos en el circuito y que cada vez los vemos más cerca de los más destacados. Zeben Díaz ya ocupa la tercera plaza en la clasificación general. Joao Dunker, por su parte, apunta a estar pronto entre los primeros.

Por su parte, el jugador de La Cuesta, Raúl Hormiga, sigue su progreso en este nuevo deporte y sigue con pie firme mejorando día a día. Lo más importante es que analiza donde está su fallo, para mejorarlo en el siguiente encuentro. Hormiga tiene un gran golpeo del balón y eso se nota.

El siguiente encuentro se disputará este próximo sábado (13 de mayo) en el Golf Los Lagos (Golf Costa Adeje) y quien quiera participar, sólo tiene que presentarse por allí para anotar los datos y participar (18 euros pago).
